Gluklya is a Russian artist working on the Utopian Unemployment Union of Amsterdam. It’s is a yearlong project that brings migrants, artists and institutions together in the united aim of developing a pilot model for a new type of project that exists at the junction of art, economics, progressive pedagogy and the social sciences. The goals of the project are to research new methods for using art in everyday life; and discovering a poetic outlook on integrating newly-arrived refugees into the European Community.
Gluklya is looking for new ways to achieve interaction between the refugees, Lola Lik and the rest of Amsterdam. In order to promote mutual communication, efforts are being made to develop a new visual language; by making together various costumes and masks for a final carnival.
